Trick or Life!
by Robin Johnson

Hello Members of the Living Food Farm! First of all, Happy Halloween to all of you! Hope you give away some of the Green Barley powder for those kids coming for Trick or Treat! It's for healthier purposes, don't you say? Smile.

Subsoil to Breathe
by Ron Johnson

I just finished subsoiling the field several days ago. Again? Yes, to help the soil breathe better, to mix minerals evenly the whole 3 feet deep, and prepare it in advance for springtime! Winter rye is growing very well for our green manure. Deer still come every night!

Cooking Tip
by Shirley Johnson

Healthy fried potatoes! Put about ¼ inch deep of coconut oil in frying pan. Add potatoes and diced raw onions (optional). Sprinkle celtic sea salt on top. Cook til done. Delicious and safe!

Ron's Reminder
by Ron Johnson

BE LIKE THE DEER!
Animals don't lie, right?
Therefore, those deer can't lie, right?
Deer, like people, love sweet tasting food, right?
You know what?
Deer love the winter rye from our soil!
They sneak and swarm on our garden every autumn night, devouring our winter rye!
Those deer aren't found flocking to other parts of land outside our farmland.
Why?
The answer is hidden, but simple! Sugar content levels are high in the winter rye growing from our high quality soil!

"If a horse or cow were offered some carrots with a sugar content of 12% and some with 7%, the animals would eat those with the highest sugar content. Animals can detect the difference, even if the difference is by .1% sugar. If a pasture has had this nutrient program applied to one section of it, the cattle will all eat on that section, because it has higher sugar content and therefore a higher mineral content."

Our Home Grown Green Life comes from the SAME soil the deer love to graze!
NOTE:

Winter rye is used as green manure

Alfalfa, dried by woodstove air and grounded, just like barley grass, is being added to Greenlife Granola and Home Grown Green Life for good reasons. The reasons are:

1) Alfalfa are high in calcium, good for stronger bones and teeth
2) Good for arthritis and rheumatic sufferers
3) Helps reduce stomach miseries
4) Has high levels of Vitamin K and Vitamin B6
5) Potassium-rich

Those deer love our alfalfa, too! They eat only the top half which holds the higher sugar contents than the bottom half. We harvest only the top half! It's for the best benefits for our members!

NOTE: Detailed information and picture of alfalfa will be added to our website soon. For your information, we (Ron and Robin) will attend the Expo in Denver, Colorado this Saturday, October 25th. We hope to meet some of members there, as well as those who're interested in health! Yours in good health,
