FDA approves Barley Grass
Diarrhea and nausea when taking barley grass? Some of our members stopped taking our barley grass because they were having diarrhea or nausea. They thought that they are allergic to barley. What they are actually experiencing is positive! This reaction is part of detoxifying process in which barley grass cleans out the toxins in your body. If you happen to have similar experience, do not stop. Instead, reduce to smallest amount you can take and gradually increase until you are able to take 3 or more teaspoons a day.
Shanada experienced diarrhea and nausea for 3 days! When Ron started growing barley grass in the juice form back then, Shanada thought she was healthy enough to drink four cups of juice even when Ron warned her. Shanada ignored Ron’s warning and drank them. She had diarrhea and was nauseous for 3 straight days! Eventually, she doesn’t have any problems with diarrhea or nausea, even when she consumed more than four cups of juice.

Minerals: Potassium Minerals such as magnesium, calcium, and especially potassium are important to maintain the balance of cells in our bodies and to stimulate the life activities. Unlike plants that can absorb the minerals from the soil, we need to eat proper nutrients with proper minerals. Minerals have a valuable role to maintain the delicate balance between acid and alkaline. The lack of balance usually causes tiredness. Majority of food we eat has acid and it does not balance with alkaline. Barley grass is an alkaline food and it balances acidic cells.
Most of the Living Food Farm members mentioned feeling tired when asked why they want to take barley grass. Their responses showed that they have not been eating food with enough minerals for our bodies and our energy level.
