Toddler Eats Barley

A video of Dalina eating spoonfuls of barley grass

The video you saw or are about to watch is Ron and Shirley Johnson's granddaughter Dalina, who is a bit over 2 years old. Dalina's Mom, Shanada, takes Barley Powder, Chinese wolfberries, and drinks Goji Juice on a regular basis. These nutritious foods have produced higher nutrients in breast milk. Today, Dalina has grown into a toddler and is able to eat barley grass/wolfberries and drinks Goji juice by herself. As a result, Dalina doesn't get sick that often. She didn't have any ear infections or "pink' eye since she was born.

Did you know that on average, according to Children's Medical Group  (2004), infants get sick (colds, stomach "bugs", and flu-like illnesses) around 8 to 12 times in their first year and 6 to 8 times in their second year? We believe that food that lacks nutrition has caused babies to become sick often. If children receive high quality nutrients through eating barley grass powder and wolfberries as their important "vegetable and fruit intake," they will not get sick often. Kids and even adults don't have to experience sickness to increase their immune system but to eat high quality food to avoid becoming sick!

Most of you already know how sick kids are no fun to take care of as it takes up so much of your time. Money are lost from missing work or spent on visiting doctors, including buying medicines. All this could have been avoided when it can be just a change of eating habits.

Feeding kids well at a young age is very important because building good eating habits will last a lifetime! For adults like you, it is not too late to improve your health as well!

Pets and Barley/Alfalfa Powder

Picture of Oreo - a black and white house catA picture of Carbo - a scrawny house dog

We are sure many of you saw the news about pets that got sick from terrible pet foods. This news scared many of the pet owners across America. Numerous pets got sick or even died from those contaminated pet food. The ingredients are waste that includes intestines, udders, heads, hooves, and possibly diseased and cancerous animal parts. The pet nutrition industry is a multi-billion dollar industry and the products are full of hype and false claims. Consumers are being tricked into believing that they are feeding their pets healthy foods, when in reality they are feeding nothing more than poorer meat meals, cheap grains (including corn and soy), pesticides, and toxins.

What does that mean? It means simply that we can't easily trust what is being put into pet food containers in stores. It is always a good idea to read the ingredients and understand what they are - just like what we do for people's food.

At Living Food Farm, we have our own pets that we love dearly. Our farm has two cats and a dog. We regularly feed our pets raw meats with cod liver oil and organically certified barley/alfalfa powder. Cod liver oil helps the pet's fur to become more shiny and healthier.   Alfalfa is an excellent source of calcium and minerals. It also improves the amount of fatty acids that animals need to survive.

We do have barley/alfalfa powder in our stock but cod liver oil can be bought at your nearby health food store. Non-flavored cod liver oil is the best for any pets. Raw meats can also be found in health food stores that are free from any additives or chemicals. If you can't possibly change your pets' food, the most important way to help your pets' health is to add barley grass powder to your pets' diet.  For more questions on how to feed the pets the best possible way, contact Rochella at rochella@livingfoodfarm.com. Rochella loves animals and often takes care of our pets.

Do Americans eat enough vegetables and fruits?

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) showed a new report: only 1 out of 7 people in the United States eat enough fruit and vegetables and exercise. Over 85 percent of U.S. people are NOT eating enough vegetables and fruits, or have enough exercise!

This is why we are selling barley grass powder and wolfberries so consumers would get enough daily  vegetables and fruits. Our barley grass powder and the Chinese wolfberries has exceptionally high amount of nutrients that came from our mineral rich soil. For more information about America's eating habits statistics, check out  this link: http://www.newstarget.com/022050.html. Don't forget the exercise part, too!
